IPRP is comprised of a team of caring professionals with years of experience in helping healthcare professionals who have substance use disorders. You will be welcomed into IPRP with open arms and guided through the steps you will take to complete our recovery program. Our team of professionals will not only offer you support but will also hold you accountable, helping you make the progress to overcome your substance use disorder.
Our team wants nothing more than to see you return to your career and be the healthcare professional you set out to become. We understand that a substance use disorder can feel isolating, overwhelming, and hopeless, but there is hope. You can find it with each and every member of our team. Dave

David Cummins
MD, FASAM, Medical Director

Dr. Cummins is the Medical Director for the Indiana Professionals Recovery Program (IPRP). He is board certified in both Addiction Medicine and Emergency Medicine and has extensive experience in treating patients suffering from substance use disorders. Following best practice guidelines set forth by the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) and using the latest evidenced-based treatment modalities, Dr. Cummins has helped develop the most comprehensive and seamless monitoring program for addicted professionals in the country. Using time-tested treatments and cutting-edge alternative therapies, his program succeeds by focusing on prevention, treatment, long-term monitoring, advocacy, and reentry into the workplace. Dr. Cummins also works closely with multiple local, state, and federal agencies to ensure employee protection and client compliance.

Tracy

Tracy Traut
MS, LCAC, Program Director

Tracy Traut, MS LCAC is the Program Director for Indiana Professionals Recovery Program. She has worked in the field of mental health and addiction since 2007. She has extensive experience in treating individuals with substance use disorders, trauma, and PTSD. Tracy received her MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Indiana University Northwest and Calumet College of St. Joseph, with a concentration in addiction treatment. Tracy is charged with focusing on prevention, treatment, long-term monitoring, advocacy, working with employers, reentry into the workplace, and utilizing evidence-based practices to deliver cutting edge monitoring services for healthcare professionals in need.

Claudia

Claudia Garcia
MBA, BSN, RN, LAC, CADAC II, Executive Director

Claudia is the executive director for the Indiana Professional's Recovery Program (IPRP).  She is trained as a critical care and operating room nurse as well as a licensed addiction counselor and a certified alcohol and drug addiction consultant.  Claudia also has a Master's in Business Administration with a focus on healthcare policy, leadership and management.  Her role with IPRP is to insure internal staffing compliance, oversight and direction of all human resource issues, accounting requirements, and management of the IPRP legal team.   Claudia is responsible for the internal audits and quality assurance for IPRP. 

Shawnna

Shawnna Parmeter
RN, 
Case Manager

Shawnna Parmeter, RN, has been a nurse for 15 years. She has clinical experience in a variety of healthcare settings centered on dual diagnosis. She believes in focusing on each person holistically to achieve a state of well-being and health. She is enthusiastic in her role as a Clinical Case Manager and utilizes her nursing background around supporting others in their recovery process for safe licensed practice.

Abigail

Abigail Rosa
BA, MS, LCACA, 
Clinical Case Manager

Abigail is a graduate from Indiana University Northwest where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in psychology with High Distinction. Following that, she obtained her Master of Science in clinical counseling. Abigail has diverse experience; she has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, working with clients 18 years of age and older; she has also worked with incarcerated individuals and clients whom were on federal or county probation as well as those who were referred by their employee assistance program.

Brittany

Brittany Sholtis
BA, MS, LCACA, 
Clinical Case Manager

Brittany Sholtis is a graduate of Indiana University Northwest where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in psychology, as well as her Master's of Science in Clinical Counseling. She has worked in both an inpatient and outpatient setting, working with clients 18 and over, some of whom were on federal or county probation, referred by their employee assistance program, and those who sought treatment on their own. Brittany also has experience working for a government office offering financial support to those in need through the Center Township Trustee in LaPorte County where she served as a case manager and office clerk. Brittany has a passion for working with those who are struggling with addiction and helping them get back on track and experience life clean and sober.

Cara

Cara Kelly
NCC, LMHCA, Clinical Case Manager

Cara received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Indiana University Northwest and a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Valparaiso University.  Her clinical background includes working with children and adolescents in outpatient behavioral therapy, acute psychiatric inpatient treatment, and residential treatment.  Cara also has experience working with adult populations during inpatient detoxification and intensive outpatient.  Cara is dedicated to her position and assisting individuals struggling with addictions.

Carrie

Carrie Graham
Administrative Assistant 

As a Qualified Mental Health Profession (QMHP), Carrie comes to us with 19 years of experience in the addiction field.

Carrie was the Director of Alice’s house when it first opened in 2002, and then a Crisis Intervention Specialist at Southlake Center/Reginal Mental Health for Mental Health from 2003-2015. Her work included Substance Use and Mental Health assessments, immediate risk assessments, crisis calls, referrals, worked with case management staff and performed admissions for substance and mental health inpatient and outpatient treatment.
